North Korea Sends Soldiers to Aid Russia in Ukraine
As War Rages on, Pentagon Warns of Cannon Fodder
North Korea Ships Munitions to Russia Since 2023
According to the Pentagon, North Korea has sent approximately 7,000 containers of military equipment and munitions to aid Russia in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Concerns have been raised that North Korean soldiers deployed to the front lines would essentially serve as "cannon fodder" in the intense fighting.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2023, the Ukrainian military has reportedly intercepted dozens of North Korean missiles launched by Russian forces. This aid comes as North Korea possesses one of the world's largest arsenals, providing Russia with access to munitions that could bolster its offensive capabilities.
