Background
The 2014 Serbia-Albania football match was a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying match involving the national association football teams of Serbia and Albania. It took place on 14 October 2014 at the Partizan Stadium in Belgrade, Serbia.
Incident
During the match, a drone carrying a flag of Greater Albania was flown over the stadium. This caused a brawl on the pitch between players from both teams and a riot in the stands. The match was abandoned after 41 minutes.
Aftermath
The incident was widely condemned by both FIFA and UEFA. The Serbian Football Association was fined €100,000 and ordered to play its next two home matches behind closed doors. The Albanian Football Association was fined €20,000.
